I first got in touch with Ryu Voelkel because I saw his work referenced on the site of my favourite football illustrator, Dan Leydon.
A speculative email, a couple of cups of coffee, a shared appreciation for ZLATAN and six weeks later I’m sat next to Ryu launching a World Cup Kickstarter.
Amen to that.
The ins and outs of Kickstarter have been a steep learning curve, but Ryu’s picked an amazing team to work with. My hat goes off to the skill and vision of Andrew Weber (website and cover design duty) and Jim Elson (video, below).
I’m so proud to be a part of this. I’ve worked hard on the marketing to bring it home and send Ryu to Rio. But I can’t do it without your help.
